#Syriac_Chant #Cyriac_Bhajan #aramaicbhajan "My Lord, and my God". Profession of faith by Thomas the Apostle. On behalf of the entire body of Apostles, St. Thomas made the most succinct form of profession of Faith by uttering Maar Waalaah, "My Lord, and my God." These words are so significant because this is the first time the Aramaic term Alaha (for the Absolute God) that is equivalent to Yahweh, is applied to Jesus in the New Testament. The Apostle acknowledged Jesus as both God and man. The official Creeds that Christians produced in the subsequent centuries are mere exegesis of the simple phrase that the Apostle spontaneously uttered. The best way to introduce children to the "Aramaic way of thinking" is to teach them to utter Maar Waalah. That phrase is a key to open the door of the closed room where our Lord appeared to appease the apostle who later became the apostle of India. What an honor and privilege for every St. Thomas Christian! The video shows that children can easily learn the Bhajan effortlessly through repetition. This bhajan can become part of the evening family prayer and a prayer song for Sunday schools. Recording of the video took place at the home of Isa and Sarah in Tampa, Florida, USA, in front of the intercultural image of Christ the Guru. We thank the parents of Sarah and Isa for granting permission to post this video on our Channel and adding it to our Marggam Digital Library. We hope this video will inspire Syriac Christian parents across the world. Slamma - Shanthi Joseph J.
