DRESSEDUNDRESSED Autumn-Winter 2022-2023 LOVERS | DUMB TYPE 19 March 2022, at 7:30 p.m. JST DRESSEDUNDRESSED Autumn Winter 2022-2023 Collection is dedicated to Teiji Furuhashi (1960-1995), Dumb Type. The theme of the collection is "LOVERS", the posthumous work of Teiji Furuhashi, and expresses the romanticism of the social order against the mystery of mutual love. In the dark space, some embrace each other, others run past each other, and their bodies overlap without ever touching each other. In a looped walking sequence, the model's body is gradually mirrored into the tailoring of the shirt collar and shirt cuffs using the trompe l'oeil technique. The complex chain of mirrored reflections evokes a sense of uncertainty and the absence of the body. Teiji Furuhashi was a core member of the Kyoto-based artist collective Dumb Type, which was formed in 1984, and passed away in 1995 due to HIV infection. He never turned his eyes away from the difficult situation in which human beings find themselves, and his sincere wish for the disappearance of Hierarchy speaks to us once again today. The music for this film was composed by Toru Yamanaka, a founding member of Dumb Type who was in charge of music and sound. Many people have contributed greatly to the realization of this work. In particular, we would like to express our sincere thanks to Toru Yamanaka and all the people involved at Dumb Type for their willingness to cooperate with us. ドレスドアンドレスド 2022-2023 秋冬コレクションは、ダムタイプ古橋悌二氏 (1960-1995)に献ぐコレクション。古橋悌二氏の遺作”LOVERS”を同テーマに、相互愛の神秘に対し、社会的秩序のロマンチシズムを表現します。暗い空間の中で抱き合うような仕草をとるもの、走り抜けるもの、決して身体は触れ合うことなく重なり合っています。 ループ状のウォーキングシークエンスの中で、モデルはトロンプルイユの技法を用いたシャツカラーとシャツカフスのテーラリングへ鏡を徐々に身体中へ散りばめていきます。鏡による複雑な写り込みの連鎖によって、不確かな体の不在感を喚起します。古橋悌二氏は、京都を拠点として1984年に結成されたアーティスト集団ダムタイプの中心メンバーとして活躍し、1995年にHIV感染のため他界しました。人間の置かれた困難な状況から目を背けず、真摯にヒエラ ルキーの消滅を願い続けたその姿勢は、今こそ改めて私たちに語りかけます。本作の音楽はダムタイプの立ち上げ、 創成期メンバーとして音楽と音響を担当してきた、山中透氏によるものです。本作品を実現するにあたり、数多くの方々から多大なご尽力を賜りました。とりわけ、快諾してくださった山中透氏をはじめダムタイプ関係者の皆様に心よりお礼を申し上げます。
