On July 22, 2025 Jaspher and I visit my first deaf student in Barangay Montaña, Baclayon, Bohol Province. She is one of the chosen few deaf students to get a four (4) year course of the Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSEd) major in Home Economics and Livelihood Education (HELE) major in Cebu State College of Science and Technology-Main Campus. I started as sign language interpreter for two (2) deaf students for On July 22, 2025, Tuesday, Jaspher and I visit in Barangay Montaña, Baclayon 6301, Province of Bohol. At 8:00 a.m. we hike from our school in M.J. Cuenco Avenue to Pier 1, Cebu City to buy shipping ticket for less. It takes us 20 minutes to walk to our ticket booking via Oceanjet Shipping. Then available schedule is 9:30 a.m. If you like to travel fast to Tagbilaran City, Bohol there is an Oceanjet Shipping Company owned by OceanJet Fast Ferries, Inc. Our discounted price of 20 percent is P571.43 good for 1 person. Every traveler will pay a terminal fee of P25.00 before boarding. Then we travel from Pier 1, Cebu City for two (2) hours going to Tagbilaran City, 6300 Bohol. We arrive at 11:30 a.m. Then from Tagbilaran City Port we ride a Motorela going to BQ Mall for 20 pesos each fare. The terminal for Baclayon and Albur is located in BQ Mall outside. Then from there you will ride a jeepney going to Montaña, Baclayon 6301, Province of Bohol. The fare is P20 for every passenger. I told the jeepney driver to stop in Barangay Montana or nearest barangay hall or church for easy access to ask questions to other locals. We stop and hike for 20 minutes then ask the house near the chapel if she knows about the deaf person name Gemma Jumangit. Then she told me that you will go back to the highway and there are many bougainvilla flowers in the gate. At 12:30, Jaspher touch the doorbell at the steel gate and later Gemma open her home to us. At last, we found the home of my first deaf student there and gladly welcome us to go inside.
