"So, I think as long as we don't get a ten year over 5%, which, you know, seems like kind of a stretch at this point — we shouldn't really see any stress in equity markets just given the underlying economic data and the strength there," Dickson says. However, a rise in the ten-year bond yield (^TNX) could signal stress in equities. On the bond side (^TYX, ^TNX, ^FVX), there are concerns about deficits and the upcoming Treasury refinancing wave. Vishal Khanduja, senior fixed income portfolio manager at Morgan Stanley, also joins the show to point out to the refinancing issue, noting, "the Treasury market refinancing wave is one that we are definitely nauseous about." This ongoing concern could potentially create significant pressure in the bond market, highlighting the need for careful monitoring in the coming months.
