On the surface, Brawl is roughly glitch free. But when you start playing, you'll spot a bug 1 out of every 10 or so matches. Sometimes it's just a small visual oddity, other times it's a gameplay-changing thing. This compilation showcases mostly all the glitches I came across so far. And yes, I bet you're thinking that these are the same old glitches but... that's not too true. I'd say 30% of them are known, and only like 5% are actually popular. You'll still probably spot several glitches in this video that are pretty new or barely popular. Have fun! Expect a lot more videos in the following days. This is only the second compilation of around 11. The clips are roughly sorted by date. But I've sorted them in a semi-special way in this video. I followed the pattern: "known, small, big". By "known", I mean a bug that I saw somewhere before. Or at the very least, a bug that SOMEONE might've come across eventually, because the methods to trigger it are fairly plausible. By "small" I mean a glitch that hardly affects gameplay, and that is just a small tidbit, nothing to get TOO worked up about. By "big", I mean a glitch that could surprise anyone, or something that just makes you shout "what!?". Or, you know, a good, "healthy" glitch. Of course, this organization is very loose, but I figured it'd be a good way to keep the content varied. I also put all instances of the same glitch I came across together. Other categories in this video include: -Spasms: sometimes, when you grab someone on a tilted surface, they'll start having spasms. It can also happen for a variety of other reasons. These might not be full-on bugs sometimes, but they're still roughly entertaining. -"Blink and you'll miss it": If you have a sharp eye (and it also helps if you play @60FPS), you might just be able to notice one or two situations in which the game glitches up, but only for a split-second. It was tough to pause the game in the exact moment in which the glitch happens for these clips, but I hope it was worth it. Notes: -At 8:06, there's no music here because, at the time, I was experimenting with hacks to play on different stages online. I tried with the Home-Run Contest, but only the music changed. And as we know, the HRC music only lasts 10 seconds, and it's silent from there on out. -At 10:43, you might wander what I was doing to get this. Basically, it was just an experiment to see if I could understand a replay file's structure. It didn't lead me anywhere but... for a match in which no button is pressed, something really funny happened! -At 9:14, I focus on Pit and back out again just to prove that the screen isn't dark because my Wii was idle. -Some of these clips could as well belong to the "Broken physics" compilation ( • Broken physics - Super Smash Bros. Brawl r... ) and vice-versa. It's not too easy to distinguish a weird physics feature from a genuine glitch sometimes, so I just put the clips where I thought they'd fit better. -I did a lot of trickery to get the audio to sync up in VirtualDub. This result is nearly perfect, but if you notice a clip or two that's really out-of-sync for some reason, let me know.
