This video is about "Carving Small" things. I have enjoyed going deeper into the world of small carvings. I carve Fairy Houses and things that can be placed in Fairy Villages and anything to do with Fairies. This was my step into "small". Then I ventured into wooden shoes and boots - first cowboy boots and then work boots. Next steps took me into carving things that are put inside Walnut Shells. Finally as the journey continues I carve people on the end of a Branch. Branches are somewhere around 1 1/2" to 1/2" in diameter. The fascinating part for me is discovering what or who is inside a piece of wood - or a Branch. This demo was part of the Ontario Wood Carvers Association's first Virtual Wood Carving Show - March 6 - 20, 2021... presented on Tuesday March 9.
