Superposition circuit analysis for electrical engineering students can sometimes sound way harder than it really is. In this electrical engineering review video, I walk through a circuit analysis practice problem asking to find a voltage across a linear component. Using the principle of superposition I show you how to solve this. For more videos, subscribe and check my EE playlist - http://bit.ly/EEReview_ProfG. Here's the basic idea of Superposition: whenever you have a circuit with multiple independent power sources, and you want to find the voltage or current across a linear component within the circuit, you can just add up the contributions of each of the power sources. Here's the steps: 1) Turn off all independent power sources, but one. 2) Calculate the voltage or current across the linear component of interest. 3) Repeat #1 & 2 for all other independent power sources. 4) Sum up all the voltages (or currents) that you found for each iteration of #2. This is the voltage (or current) that you're looking for. Need to review EE basics fast and for free?
