To lock the back from reclining push the back lever down while sitting upright. Lift the back lever up and recline freely. To activate the forward tilt feature push the forward lever down while you're reclining backwards then come as far forward in the chair as possible and push the back lever down as well. Now you can notice a 10 to 15 percent forward tilt in your chair turn the crank forward to tighten the tension. Turn the crank backwards to loosen the tension. Once the tension has reached its maximum in either direction do not force the crank further to change the height of the armrest pull up on the lever and slide the armrest up or down.
