Six-time Paralympic Gold Medalist Brad Snyder began his professional career in the US Navy. Brad deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2008, and deployed again two years later to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. After six months of assault operations, Brad was severely injured by the explosion of a nearby improvised explosive device (IED) and sustained complete vision loss as a result. Listen in to his interview with Bob Babbitt alongside his guide Greg Billington in this next episode of Heroes of Sport to learn more about how he started training for the Paralympic games, his journey to the podium, and his most recent transition into Para Triathlon and competing in the Tokyo Paralympic games.
