Model animation with Chip the Wooden Man 1920's. Good animation ideas featuring a dinosaur. Lightning sketch artists and early cartoonists featured their hands on the screen. Here, in a throw back to earlier animation, the dinosaur is created by a magician. Chip the Wooden Man drives a vehicle or carriage or coach which is towed by a centipede or caterpillar. A large bird chases the centipede into a hole in a rock. Chip pulls an angry and exasperated face. He climbs down from the coach and kicks the giant bird. A magician in a star covered magician's coat appears. He banishes the bird who walks off dejectedly. Now Chip needs a new animal to pull his carriage. The magician promises to make him one. He taps his walking staff on the ground. A large ball of plasticine appears. This gets bigger until legs appear, followed by a neck and head which unravel and finally a long tail which also unrolls to reveal a Brontosaurus type of dinosaur, rather like Gertie the dinosaur. Chip and the magician talk. Chip jumps onto the back of the dinosaur. The dinosaur peers at Chip closely. After looking initially concerned Chip smiles. Chip tells the magician he cannot steer the dinosaur so the magician magics some dinosaur reins. Chip rides the dinosaur off past a sign indicating "To the Land of Wooden Soldiers"
