$1,850 This started life as a Majestic short scale tenor banjo. These banjos were built by G. F. Puntolillo of NYC. He produced high grade instruments with very experimental tone rings. We have had many of his instruments over the years but we have never seen another like this. It is a Custom Majestic banjo with a gargantuan arched metal tone ring with side ports. The bottom edge the wooden rim is adorned with marquetry. A single coordinating rod afixes the custom built Dale Small neck to the rim. The 26 1/2" scale places the bridge in the middle of the 12 1/4" rim producing a very balanced warm tone yet still clear and never muddy.
