Hello there, Wayfarers! Most of our dead mall videos feature malls from California--however, today we've got a double feature from the East Coast. In December 2017 (while on a hometown visit for Christmas), we took a tour of two Massachusetts dead malls, the Silver City Galleria in Taunton and the Walpole Mall in (you guessed it) Walpole. As one of us was a former employee of the Silver City Galleria Sears who remembers opening day back in 1992, it was especially tough to return home to see this great retail behemoth reduced to a struggling shell. The future doesn't look bright for Silver City--each time we've come back home to visit, it's in even more dire straits. While roaming the area in 0 degree weather that particular week, we were also able to capture the tiny Walpole Mall as a bonus.
