Fantastic Greek Performances at Pan-Thracian Dance in Toronto!

It was a fantastic night of Greek Dancing at the Pan-Thracian Society of Ontario's Annual Dance held at Parkview Manor in Toronto. The Nea Genia (Νέα Γενιά) dance group, donned in Traditional Thracian Costumes, were the highlight of the night as they performed dances showcasing the village of Metaxades from Evros, Thrace. Dances included Tapeinos, Syrto and Zonaradiko just to name a few. There was also a customary procession emulating the women of the village who would hold hands while walking and singing from the church to the village square to start the day of festivities. The Greek Community of Toronto Junior Dance Groups also performed an array of dances to the delight of the crowd.
