Prolotherapy for Neck/Cervical Instability in EDS

A few months ago I started prolotherapy treatments on my neck below my craniocervical fusion. We are hoping that a combination of physical therapy and prolotherapy can help prevent the need for further fusions on my neck/spine (some of my worst instability is C3-C5). So far, I think it has helped some! I seem to have a bit more upright time in the mornings and can go longer without my neck brace. The main concern we have with prolotherapy is that we've heard it doesn't last as long in EDS (Ehlers Danlos Syndrome) patients as it does in the general population. It is not covered by insurance and is still considered an "experimental treatment", but it has helped many significantly. Doctors who perform these procedures typically also offer more expensive treatments such as PRP Injections and Stem Cell Injections. Let me know what your experience with prolotherapy has been!
