How to get free food in London UK Ep2 - how to get free food at free events, homeless survival hacks

In my 2nd video about how to get free food in UK, I show how to get free food at free events. There are many free events where you can get free food, usually at weekends - cultural or religious events, festivals BBQs & fun days. I find them on Instagram, Facebook, by word of mouth and on Google by searching weekend dates plus “free food”, “free lunch”, “free meal”, “free buffet”, “free BBQ”, “festival”, “fun day” & similar keywords. Some require online booking or RSVP by email or DM, so search a month in advance or they’ll be fully booked. I had free 2 course meal at the free food event Colours of Redbridge’s Golden Hour at Ilford Exchange. I heard about it by word of mouth, signed up to all 5 events and went to 4. 3 were fully booked so I joined the waiting list, I was number 12, 14 and 24th but still got in. There are always people who sign up for free events but then don’t go, so it’s worth putting your name down on the waiting list and being there at the time it starts, most of the time you’ll get in. The event was under a giant tarp with Islamic deco - low round tables with cushions on the floor, and tables and chairs with nice tablecloths and brass lanterns with LED candles. It was nice to eat food that’s different from what I normally eat at soup kitchens, mango juice and chai. Main course was Jamaican rice and peas with dumplings and jackfruit Malay curry. After everybody ate, I asked for seconds. Dessert was a malpua (small Indian pancake). Drinks were mango juice and chai (spiced tea). That evening, I saw on Instagram that there was a free buffet at an Ethiopian restaurant, part of free Crossroads music festival in Cricklewood. But too late to get there. The next day when I was on a bus, I saw they were giving out free vegetarian food at Rathayatra Festival of Chariots. I didn’t get off because I already had enough food.
