#biketour #eastcoastbiketour #eastcoastgreenway We switched things up a bit and decided to try our hand at bicycle touring and not just a short one. With a quick internet search of "long bike trails on the east coast" the top search was www.greenway.org. The East Coast Greenway with a detailed map appeared with only a handful of people that completed it from end to end. With not a lot of time to find bikes, panniers, and all the gear needed for our almost 3000 mile bike ride from Maine to Florida, we scrambled to get ready. To be honest, we didn't think everything through as much as we could have but it left us with a lot of unknown and the ability to take each day as it came. Could we have been more prepared… totally but what is the fun in that? As we started our journey south along the east coast greenway we were naïve but excited to see what the trail would bring. In this video follow along with us as we become more familiar with the bike tour process and start to feel like we know a little bit more about what we are doing. We enter into our 2nd, 3rd, and 4th state. We finally start to feel like we are shaking our head colds as we bike the coast of New Hampshire, survive the cold days and nights, and bike through our first major city Boston, MA. We were lucky enough to get in touch with someone that is near and dear to the East Coast Greenway organization, which ends up helping us find accommodations all along the way to Florida.
