Here are the six most common parts that could prevent your chainsaw from starting: 1️⃣ Carburetor A dirty carburetor (often caused by fuel being left in the chainsaw) can prevent your engine from getting enough fuel, and therefore cause your chainsaw not to start. Giving it a quick clean with carb cleaner is often enough. Sometimes these can be cleaned, but it's often smart to replace them entirely. Fill up the tank and you'll be back in business. If there's old fuel in the tank, drain it out and replace it with new stuff, and you'll be good to go! 4️⃣Clogged Fuel Filter (1:07) Like the air filter, if the fuel filter is clogged, the engine can be difficult to start, or may not start at all.
