A song about the previous events    • Rythen & Elyndra: A Bardic Ballad of Love ...   Thanks for the story to ‪@Wolfeye125‬ : "After the defeat by Rythen and Punishment by Nythor Morthen went to his Friend for Shelter - and there he overheard his Friend with another who were with them all during the kidnapping. And then he learned the truth; He and others were just bait - Cannon Fooder so to speak. If they had managed to kill that Paladin Girl Rythen would come after them for murderous Revenge. They counted on Morthen and others were being targeted and while Rythen would hunt them down, they could flee. After hearing this Morthen vanished from the scene. His Friend tried to reach him when they wanted to summon Mordun but didn't got a reply. During his Travel Morthen saved a Raven from drowning. The Raven revealed itself as a Shapeshifter named Havric. He joined Morthen and Morthen told him everything from his Life while Havric listened patiently. One Night while the two were sleeping Morthen suddenly jerked awake and started screaming in agony. Havric could do nothing but hold him tightly and try to soothe him. Then Morthen devolved a high Fever. This prompted Havric to seek help and he found it in the Lamia Calyra, a skilled Healer. While they waited for Morthen to recover Havric told Calyra that he had fallen in Love with Morthen - unaware that Morthen was listening to every word while he was in a healing Sleep. When he wakes up the stammering Confession of the shapeshifter was abruptly interrupted when Morthen kissed him. Morthen then offered the young Lamia to join him and Havric and she happily accepted. During their Journey the two Men devolved feelings for the young Lamia and their Feelings were returned. During a heavy Snowstorm they found a young Ifrit on Death's Door. They found a litte Hut and - lacking a Fireplace - they used their own Body heat to warm the Ifrit. When he woke up he introduced himself as Ashkar. Since no of the three had ever heard of a Ifrit Ashkar explained that they now where bound together by his Fire Mark that had transfer to Morthen, Havric and Calyra during they saving his Life. The four were now bonded Soul, heart and mind. Ifrits are - according to ancient Legends - offsprings of Demons and Phoenixes. This bond between parents is characterized by love and trust. They can't fly, but have complete control over the fire. Therefore, only extreme cold can harm them, even kill them. Ifrit can respawn but only after they find their Soulmate. For a Ifrit to have more than one Mate is extremely rare and can only be achieved by a special Ritual - whether intentional or accidental doesn't matter. When the bond is completed it triggers the Respawn process. Once triggered the Ifrit can die as many times and is reborn after every time his Body turns to Ash. The only Way to stop the respawning process is the severing of the Bond - usually when the Ifrit lost his Soulmate to Dead - thus admitting that they weren't fast or strong enough to protect them. A Ifrit can only fall in love once in their life and stay with their partner for life. Should the Ifrit lose their Partner by someone else's fault, he just lives long enough to hunt down and kill the murderer of their Soulmate, before they die a final Time to be with their beloved. Lamia are normal Humans who were bitten by Vampires (whether accidentally or intentionally), they have to leave only a single drop of its blood in the bloodstream. But they didn't turn immediately; If the one who was bitten dies (it doesn't matter if it is due to old age or if the person is killed) the single drop of Blood is awakened. If this happened the Human will be young again (15 to 25 years) and then stop aging. Unlike vampires, Lamia can stay in sunlight, eat both normal food and blood and are less strong then their Sires. They can also be controlled by their creators like puppets. Between the vampire and the lamia he created exists a Bond; When the drop of blood is activated, the Vampire will feel it immediately. They also feel the emotions of "their" Lamia and can read her thoughts. Most Vampires want nothing to do with their "creations" and cut the Bond by brutally drinking so long from the newborn Lamia til they're almost dry. If this happened the Vampire deletes any Memory of himself out of the Lamia's Mind. There are just a handful of Scenarios where the Vampires and Lamia enter into a father/child relationship or a love relationship.
