The US force, SYN, will need to secure the northern WN4 and southern WN7 strong points including the wide and flat area of flooded fields surrounding ‘The Chapel’. The German force of GBI must quickly engage the Americans and force them back to the beach landings in order to deny any chance of breaking out into the countryside. The team that wins the initial engagement will have a divisive advantage and allow their tanks the ability to control key areas within the sector and assert dominance on the infantry.
