As we continue our Lenten Campaign reflections, Week 3 invites us to reflect on the sanctity and dignity of human life, a central principle of Catholic Social Teaching. In this conversation, Fr. Jean-Paul Katembo Muhandiro, a Comboni missionary serving in Kenya and Director of the Napenda Kuishi Rehabilitation Program Trust, explains that human life is a gift from God and that every person possesses infinite dignity, regardless of status, ability, or circumstance. Drawing from Church teaching and real experiences from pastoral work among vulnerable communities, Fr. Jean-Paul highlights some of the challenges facing human dignity today, including poverty, exploitation, political manipulation, and violence. He reminds Christians that protecting life is not only the responsibility of institutions or leaders, but begins with each individual’s personal commitment. As we journey through Lent toward Easter, we are invited to reflect deeply on our choices and relationships with others. A question for reflection: Do our daily actions promote life or diminish it? May this reflection inspire us to recognise the image of God in every person and to work together in protecting the dignity of all. 📍 Lenten Campaign – Week 3 🎥 New People Media Centre #lent2026 #sanctityoflife #humandignity #catholicsocialteaching #lentenreflections #newpeoplemediacentre
