Hello and welcome to block three of my 2025 TN & Ky Shop Hop. This block is a bit more labor intensive but the end result was worth it. I used the eight at a time HST method, measurement are below, to make the Tulip unit. I also used the flip back method for the flying geese and snowballed another unit to make the Chevron unit. The snowballed unit is not a flying geese and there are no seams to matchup when putting the block together. Also, the flying geese unit make bonus HSTs that size to 1.5 inches. From this point, any repeated method used in further blocks, I'll refer to a previous block for measurements and you can follow along to make those units. Which in turn will make some of these follow a-longs much shorter. My first visit to Lana's shop, I though GPS had me driving down someone's driveway out in the country. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by a friendly hello and was over taken by first sight of the shop. There are rooms and rooms full of fabrics, notions, and patterns. And meeting Lana was such a joy. The drive from Chattanooga to Lana's shop is a relaxing one with country roads and scenic vistas. There's even rocking chairs on the front porch, who wouldn't feel welcome. If you're in the Chattanooga area, I highly recommend a trip. And best thing, Lana's Quilt shop isn't that far from Chattanooga Quilts. Measurements: Eight at a time HST: One six inch square focal fabric, one six inch square BG Oversized flying geese: One 2-3/4 x 4-3/4 inch rectangle, two 2-3/4 squares Snowball unit: One 2.5 x 4.5 inch rectangle BG, two 2 inch squares focal fabric You'll also need 2.5 inch squares of both focal fabric and BG Tools I used: @fonsandporter Quarter Inch Seam Marker @CreativeGridsUSA Ultimate Flying Geese Tool, 1 inch tool @LoriHolt Cute Cuts @acornmakers Easy Press Pen (press open seams) #menwhoquilt #anyonecanquilt #quiltblock #followers PLEASE NOTE: I am not affiliated nor am I paid by any company or person of items and tools I use and mention in any of my uploads. They simply make quilt piecing easier and more accurate for me personally. Thank you
