The Dallas Assembly convened today for a conversation on Dallas parks planned by program co-chairs Alfreda Norman (who also served as moderator) and Peter Brodsky (not pictured), Allyn Media client Trust for Public Land Associate Vice President and Texas State Director Robert Kent, Dallas Park Board Chairman Arun Agarwal and Trinity Park Conservancy President and CEO Tony Moore. DID YOU KNOW: Trust for Public Land established a project called Smart Growth for Dallas, a data mapping platform that examines factors like urban heat islands, health disparities, equity indicators, soil types and flood zones to determine where parks are most needed and possible locations for said parks. “When you have a park close to home and you make an investment in some type of green infrastructure, whether it’s a park or a trail or trees, that can have positive benefits for the environment, public health and communities,” Robert Kent. ABOUT TRUST FOR PUBLIC LAND In Dallas, Texas, and across the country, we’re working with communities and advocates to connect more people in more places to the outdoors. Dallas projects include the Oak Cliff's Five Mile Creek Greenbelt, South Oak Cliff Renaissance Park and Dallas Schoolyard Program. #AllynMedia #Parks #Trails #GetOutside #TransportationResiliency #Trails #Dallas #DallasTrails #DallasPR #TrustForPublicLand #GreenDallas City of Dallas Dallas Park and Recreation #FiveMileCreek #DART
