1996 - 2000 Honda Civic EX Oxygen Sensor Replacement P0135

In this video I show you how to replace the upstream oxygen sensor on a 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999 or 2000 Honda Civic EX with the Vetec 1.6L D16Y8 engine. The upstream oxygen sensor is not on the manifold like most Honda 4 cylinder engines, its located underneath the car on the exhaust. In this video I use a Bosch 15730 universal oxygen sensor as a replacement. I do not recommend this if you have time to order the exact fit part. I was in a hurry and wanted to get this done in 1 day for as cheap as possible. I had to cut and splice on the old connector to the new oxygen sensor. I had codes P0135, P0170 and P0171 which were all related to the oxygen sensor failing. I had no drive-ability issues at all, just the CEL. After replacing the sensor, I cleared the codes and went for a long test drive. I'm happy to report no more check engine light.
