The Writing Lab at Yorkville University has several topical units, which include narrated PowerPoint presentations, recommended resources, and suggested learning activities. There are also several writing tips and strategies shared in the Writing Tips topic; these are organized thematically (e.g., grammar and punctuation, APA) with new tips added regularly. Through the Writing Sample “assignment” you can submit a piece of writing for review. This could be a section of a previous, or an upcoming, assignment or submission of a full assignment. The goal with this service is not to act as editors but, instead, to provide the detailed feedback needed to improve your writing skills. Perhaps most importantly, there is no cost to access the lab and participation is completely voluntary; it is up to you to decide whether you wish to access the Lab.
