Let me take you on a journey from start to finish of the 133 watercolor houses I painted in the Tulsa area! Each portrait captures a wide range of the breadth and depth of Tulsas architecture. I learned a lot through this process including some wisdom about the necessity of third spaces. I guess I never put my official thesis in the end, but I took great pleasure in exploring the diversity of my city and meeting a few kind (and not so kind!) strangers. It made me look at my neighbors and community differently to see how scared sometimes we are of each other. Ultimately, I believe we all have much more in common than our differences.
