Buffalo cross the Sabie River in the Kruger National Park and wilddogs on the H4-1 road near Lower Sabie, and then more of South Africa. A cold front is sweeping across the Cape today, bringing scattered to widespread showers over western South Africa. As an upper-air trough develops into a cut-off low by Wednesday, expect a band of scattered showers to affect the eastern Northern Cape Province, western Eastern Cape Province, and further east into the North West Province, Free State Province, and the remainder of the Eastern Cape Province overnight into tomorrow. Temperatures will drop sharply, with the possibility of isolated light snow in southern Namibia. Central South Africa may see a mix of rain, sleet, or snow as this weather system moves through. Extremely high fire danger conditions are anticipated across the western half of North West, northeastern KwaZulu-Natal, and the Nyandeni Local Municipality in the Eastern Cape Province.
