So, if you want to solve problems, you need to see problems, and you need to need to see how your solution to the problem worked out. So if we need to see, we need power. That power is your lumens. Now consider this. Flashlights are for search, identification, control and communication. All four aspects of use are influenced by the environment's different levels of lights (from and to) and influenced by the observers/target current level o light adaptation.
