Driving to Scotland & Vanlife First Impressions | Van Life Chronicles | 3 |

This week we drive our VW Crafter van conversion, Wilson, 450 miles from the Peak District, through the Lake District & Fort William to finally reach the Cairngorms in search of some Scottish snow in time for the winter season. The journey took us on some of the UK's most beautiful roads, A57 (Snake Pass), A591 (Kendale to Keswick via Windemere & Ambleside), A82 (Loch Lommond & the Pass of Glencoe), A86 (Loch Laggan), and the A9 (Cairngorms). It was a lot of driving, but worth it to finally reach Scotland, and there was plenty of beautiful scenery along the way. Of course we manage to get out and stretch our legs a bit as well, visiting Mam Tor, Scout Scar, pretty lakes and nature reserves as we well & truely settle into vanlife. We've been travelling in our self-converted van for about 1 week now, so in this episode we also share our first impressions of what real van life is like! Stay tuned for future videos as we explore some of what Scotland has to offer and hopefully manage to squeeze in some winter mountaineering, ice climbing, bouldering, walks and backcountry skiing.
