Betches own dating experts, the hosts of the U Up? Podcast Jared Freid and Jordana Abraham are joined by the king of Bravo himself Andy Cohen to discuss his Fox show Love Connection and how much he loves prying into other people's dating lives. Andy talks about when it's appropriate to put someone on your instagram, hint, Jared agrees, then they get into it about when it's appropriate to bring somebody on vacation with you. Andy gets into the struggles that come with having such a public social media platform and how it complicates what he can or cannot post before he gets into the love he's created with Love Connection, revealing that they have a couple that has been together for a year and a half. Jared asks how to make a public relationship last and Andy says it's the same as real life--you just need a connection. What are men lying about the most? Money. How do you make a good first date actually good? Get to know the person before you judge them purely based on appearance. If someone cancels you on your first date give them another chance--everyone's flaky these days and it'll make life easier if you put yourself out there and actually call someone instead of simply messaging back and forth on a dating app. Andy announces his set of rules for dating, which is not the same as most, it's okay to text at the end of the date and the next day if you're really into someone and if they're really into you it shouldn't weird them out! Jared and Andy get into the idiosyncrasies of what constitutes a "hook-up" and when Andy deems someone as a make out buddy, a full on hook up buddy, or someone that he actually sees a future with. The trio then get into when it's okay to hook up people who are simply looking to "clean out the pipes," and just being conscious of what your friends are actually looking for when they ask you to set them up on a date. Jared and Jordana are gobsmacked when they find out Andy is on a couple of dating apps himself and how he has no shame in being on them. Jared questions why Andy doesn't want to be on Raya, the dating app for famous people, and Andy has a very logical answer--if you're a single Brooklyn scientist hit him up! They then get into the ideal first date and Andy talks about the comfortability of going to a place that you're familiar with so you have that at-home advantage!
