Maintaining cyber security and remote working in hybrid environments

As the pandemic restrictions begin to ease and we see ourselves transitioning back to the ‘normal’ way of working, working back in the office, commuting, and travel around the UK and internationally has now resumed. The transition from the post pandemic working environment creates a variety of challenges and opportunities within cybersecurity. The adoption of hybrid working, remote access and the utilisation of new software products highlights that cybersecurity can be agile, enabling the business to thrive but remain secure with the adoption of these new technologies. This session will explore the positives and challenges which we have faced during the pandemic, the adaptations which have been made in order to maintain cyber security whilst working from home, and the challenges of transitioning back to the office and how other businesses/individuals’ experiences have differed. These webinars are part of a series of monthly webinars supported by the UK’s Nuclear Security Culture Programme (NSCP) at the Centre for Security Studies (CSSS) at King's College London. Each webinar seeks to address issues faced by government officials, regulators, and users of nuclear and radiological material, complimenting other NSCP initiatives by highlighting good international standards and practice.
