Proactive’s Tylah Tully presents Just the Facts about Cobre Ltd’s (ASX:CBE) successful completion of an additional injection and pumping well at the Ngami Copper Project in Botswana’s Kalahari Copper Belt. The development enhances the company's hydrogeological understanding of fluid flow along the project's primary mineralised zone and has enabled it to establish a reciprocal injection-pumping circuit. By combining this well with previous injection and monitoring wells, Cobre has demonstrated hydraulic connectivity along the main mineralisation zone and sufficient permeability in deeper, moderate-grade portions to support an in-situ copper recovery process. The results confirm the viability of the in-situ process for extracting copper and silver from the mineralised zone. It’s estimated it contains one hundred and three to one hundred and 66 million tonnes of mineralisation, grading between 0.38% to 0.46% copper. This phase concludes Cobre's field test work for this year and lays the groundwork for ongoing fluid flow modelling. “Developing a robust hydrogeological model provides the foundation for our ISCR program.
