Join me for ‘Torah Tea Time’ where we discuss wide-ranging contemporary Jewish topics over a cuppa. Make yourself comfortable with a hot drink and enjoy an informal conversation about all things Jewish and Torah. In this first episode, I’m sharing thoughts on Rabbi Sandy Eisenberg Sasso’s new book ‘Sally Opened Doors’; about Rabbi Sally Priesand, the first female rabbi ordained on American soil. Rabbi Priesand was ordained in 1972 and opened doors for many female rabbis to come. This delightful and beautifully illustrated children’s book charts Rabbi Priesand’s journey. I also share thoughts on my own journey and experience of becoming and being a female rabbi (and wife/mother) as I recently returned from a women’s rabbinic conference.
