Crossing barrier comes down on trucker who breaks it and flees the scene I was parked on the side of the road trying to contact a customer when this truck rolled up to the train crossing. As he approached, the warning lights came on and the bell started to ring. He kept right on going until he noticed the barrier come down and hit his truck. Then, he backed up, snapped the barrier off, then went across the track and fled the scene. As it turns out, they were just working on the barrier remotely, and there was no train. Regardless of this fact, the guy should have stayed behind to report the incident. A local man came shortly after and called the number on the crossing to alert the proper officials about the damage.
