In this lesson, you will learn the basics of project preparation: from importing a 3D model to setting up the workpiece and coordinate systems. We will use the Micron VCE 600 Pro milling machine (3 axes) to demonstrate the basic processes. You will learn how to: import a model in .igs format; position and fix it in the vise using a ready-made preset; set the workpiece parameters (cuboid), adding allowances for subsequent machining; configure the G54 coordinate system at the desired point using Smart Snap; adjust the position of the vise for more accurate simulation and to prevent possible collisions. This lesson lays a solid foundation for all subsequent operations, helping to create a realistic and correct virtual setup.
