Then you want to bend your knees a little bit and have your shoulders aimed 45 degrees in front of you at the ground and you want to push directly down into the skateboard using the balls of your feet and do a little straight leggeded hop and land back onto the skateboard onto the balls of your feet bending your knees and ankles to absorb the hippie jump. And try to land back on the board with both feet landing on the board at the same time and you can aim fot the bolts and this will help you have a soft landing. Remember to always keep your body loose and be ready to ball at anytime. You never know when you are going to hit a pebble or fall just because you loose your balance! And being loose helps you execute the hippie ollie. And getting your body loose and having the right mind set all comes from building your confidence by starting your hippie ollies stationary on carpet and then taking off the training wheels (Carpet) and going to those hippie ollies moving when you are confident and in the right state of mind!!
