Edith Cavell was a British nurse who served during the First World War inside of the Belgian city of Brussels. She was a skilled trainer of other nurses, and was very well though of, however to help the Allied war effort against the Germans she helped to smuggle British, French and Belgian soldiers out of danger back to Britain.
