This beautiful piano solo arrangement by Frédéric Meinders is one of my favourite renditions of this piece. It is dedicated to Jacques de Tiège, one of the world's most inspiring piano teachers, who unfortunately passed away last year (March 2022). Jacques gave me this piece in 1990 asking me if I would play it. In honour of his memory and the many lessons he's taught me about the true essence and craftmanship of the art of playing piano, I decided to perform this piece. Among his pupils and pianists looking for this advice were a.o. Leif Ove Andsnes, Enrico Pace, Igor Roma, Yuja Wang and many others. Frédéric Meinders is a great Dutch pianist, composer and arranger and has made numerous beautiful transcriptions for piano solo. You can find them on his website www.fredericmeinders.com.
