MOST DANGEROUS ABANDONED SCHOOL EVER! ENDED IN DISASTER Abandoned Holy Cross New Orleans, Louisiana

Why is this the most dangerous abandoned school ever? How did it ended in disaster? Well, let me start off saying, It was founded in 1849 by the Congregation of Holy Cross. In 1859, the congregation purchased Reynes Farm, a riverfront plantation in the Lower 9th Ward. In 1879 Isadore's College was constructed, eventually changed to Holy Cross College in the mid-1890s. It opened up in 1895 as a all boys Catholic School. Sometime during 1912 the school expanded the building by adding 2 wing to it. (Grades K - 12 were taught here.) Now getting back into how it's the most dangerous abandoned school ever and ended in disaster? In late August Hurricane Katrina wiped out the lower 9th Ward causing lots of flooding and millions of dollars of damage. Holy Cross also did not survive the flooding. The first floor was completely under water. Making the whole building unusable. It's been 16 years and the building is falling apart. There are support beams holding up the building. Plains were to save it and turn it into an assisting living for the elderly. Unfortunately, the grounds are caving in really soft floors (could easily fall through) broken glass spread all through out the place, holes in places you would not expect. Giant holes leading down from the top floor all the way down to the bottom and so much more. This place is just a death trap!
