This system is designed to work using apps for both programming and daily use as the system has no physical interface. The user interface service is Alarm.com's Interactive service, and while popular, does require a monthly payment to keep active. Even though the IQ 4 NS is meant to use Alarm.com, it is possible to use the system as a completely local setup. This can be done by using the IQ Remote PG, or the DSC HS2LCDWF9 keypads. While these keypads on a local setup do not offer a large amount of functionality, most common user functions can be used from them.
