Intwine gained nationwide recognition after lead singer Roger Peterson participated in the TV talent show "Idols" in 2002 and subsequently achieved five Top 40 hits with Intwine, of which "Happy?" (3rd position) and "Cruel Man" (7th position) were the highest-charting. Throughout its nine-year existence, the group released four studio albums: "Intwine" (2003), "Perfect" (2004), "Pyrrhic Victory" (2006), and "Kingdom of Contradiction" (2009). Founded in 2001 by Rockacademie students Roger Peterson (vocals), Jacob Streefkerk (guitar), Touché Eusebius (bass), Kevin Hissink (guitar), and Erwin Gielen (drums), the band evolved over the years.
