A four-star bore was forecast, but as the river was swollen with fresh water the wave was rather subdued. Not many surfers that mounted the bore on the approach to Newnham had managed to stay afloat by the time it passed the White Hart pub. Filming from the Severn Bore Inn gave a closer look at the wave, which though higher than at Newnham, it rapidly became undular as it passed. Apart from surfers, a guy in a kayak and another on a stand-up paddleboard braved the bore, but alas, none managed to stay with the wave. Filming location: 1 – the elevated observation area at the rear of the White Hart pub. 2- the rear of the Severn Bore Inn.
