Nanniyode Njaan | SATB | A Friends' Collective

The evergreen Malayalam Gospel song 'Nanniyode Njaan' is the creation of the great Christian composer, Late Shri P. G. Abraham Padinjarethalackal. It is a song of Thanksgiving; Praising God for all the blessings bestowed upon us; Saving us from the influence of our unrighteousness with His forgiveness and kindness. This song with its simple structure of melody and lyrics captures the Truth about GOSPEL so well that it effortlessly attains the sublimity of musical art and enraptures the human mind with that Truth. Shri P. G. Abraham Padinjarethalackal was a prolific music composer of Liturgical and Sacred music. He has composed numerous songs which were enthusiastically accepted by the Malayalam Christian community. Many of his Sacred and Christmas songs are sung even today. He was born in Kottayam and showed great affinity to music from an early age. He has worked with the Indian Aluminium Company, Eloor and was also associated with Saar East Broadcasting Associates (SEBA). His compositions in light music were regularly aired on Radio Manila and he was also associated with the All India Radio briefly. He also trained the choir at the St.George Orthodox Valiya Pally (Palarivattom), Ernakulam. In 2002, a global competition of Choir singing was held at The Hague, Netherlands and the SUMORO Choir of Shruthy School of Liturgical Music led by Rev. M.P.George won the first prize and they sang Shri. P.G.Abraham's much celebrated composition 'Enn Prananum' and was also trained by him. After a brief illness, he passed away in 2003 and was laid to rest in the Puthen Pally cemetery of Cheria Pally, Kottayam. Details of the Composer: https://pgabraham.blogspot.com/2016/1...
