The disused Ex-Sham Shui Po Service Reservoir stands as a remarkable landmark with history that dates back centuries. The Ex-Sham Shui Po Service Reservoir was the first circular underground service reservoir locally built. The reservoir’s hybrid concrete-and-brick construction, with granite pillars, bricked arches, concrete floors and walls, represents the transition from brick use to concrete use during the modern era. Hong Kong also has a number of historic buildings. Whether constructing a building or selecting a site and building materials, all of these decisions are influenced by social beliefs, traditions, ideas, and cultures. There's something artistic and human about historic buildings, and they're definitely worth a look! Starting from 1 August , visitors can see this historic structure without prior appointment.
