According to Tracker.gg, the G57 is my second most used weapon in Battlefield 2042, sitting at nearly 13,200 kills and is only beat out by the Rorsch Mk-4 Railgun by less than 8,000 kills. Even after the G57 was nerfed multiple times halfway into 2042's lifespan, it remained the top contender for pretty much every weapon in the game within 30-40 meters. That's a bit absurd for a weapon that's supposed to be a last resort. Boasting a wild 25 damage to the body and 50 damage to the head, this thing consistently 2-3 taps from too far away. Aside from the ridiculous damage output, DICE decided to give the G57 35+1 round drum mags with 2 spares. That's 12 trigger pulls in burst mode. The G57 made every sidearm and most primaries completely obsolete for a majority of Battlefield 2042's lifespan. Battlefield 2042 is a 2021 first-person shooter, developed by DICE and published by Electronic Arts. The twelfth main installment in the Battlefield series, it was released on November 19, 2021, for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. 2042 is the first installment since 2006's Battlefield 2142 to solely be a multiplayer video game, without a single-player campaign.
