This meet was different. It wasn't just any competition—it was Regionals, a milestone in every gymnast's journey. It was her first time to learn the required skills, but her Coaches just made her enjoy unlocking her skills without too much pressure. Her training days at the gym felt just like any other day at the gym. And this was our favorite part, yung preps. Because we knew she was ready. But things went wrong with an unexpected bad knee after her third event. She had to make a tough choice: to push through the pain or step back. At that time, we had to think about whether our choice was good for her or if it could harm her. And intense talaga nito. When it was her turn for her final event, Samara decided to do her vault routine. I could feel that she was scared, and I had to distract her. But she did it perfectly. 😭 Yes, it was amazing. ❤️ Pero sa totoo lang, gusto ko na lang matapos yung araw na yun. ☹️ We have learned sooo much in this experience but still deeply thankful for this opportunity.
