Lillian Lartey empowers high achieving midlife women (age 35-70) to be healthy, fit and strong, so that they show up alert, calm, energised and confident for their family, community and work. With 25 years experience in the health, fitness and wellbeing industry, Lartey provides one2one coaching, group fitness classes and wellbeing sessions. Lartey partners with organisations, community groups and social networks where she provides talks on health, fitness and wellbeing topics. In addition, she facilitates workshops, consults on stress-related health issues and occupational burnout, as well as creates wellness spaces. Lartey’s work and passion are hugely influenced from her love for the human body and personal development. Having experienced her own personal health challenges and stress-related burnout episodes, one of which admitted her to hospital, Lartey did the inevitable and turned her health around. Following the success of 100 Black Women Who Have Made A Mark, Serendipity Institute for Black Arts and Heritage is delighted to launch a new project for 2026; Making the Invisible Visible: Black Women 365 Days of the Year. Each day will showcase a different woman, whose story has shaped Black British or global Diasporic history; many of whom remain overlooked or under-celebrated in mainstream narratives. This will take the form of a rolling programme of short films, released throughout the year to keep these stories in daily circulation and to create an evolving constellation of leadership, resistance, artistry and enduring impact.
