Elemans (University of Southern Denmark), who will present “Embodied Motor Control of the Animal Voice.” Vocal sound production is a primary form of communication across many vertebrates and involves highly coordinated interactions between muscles, biomechanics, and neural control. In this seminar, Prof. Elemans explores the biophysical mechanisms animals use to produce sound and how these systems shape vocal communication across species.
