Professional Clinician Jeff Davis answers: I understand and frequently use the method of tying with the Tie Ring. I use it in the barn and in all my trailers and never have an issue. However, how does this coincide with the Patience Pole? The horses appear to be tied solid while at the Patience Pole. I know that if I were to leave a horse on that, he would eventually test it and find to his surprise he was tied solid. I don't imagine he will take to that easily after being taught that pulling gives release.
