Snippets from the closing event of the “Humanitarian Response with Sustainable Impact: Sustainable Livelihoods and Social Cohesion” programme through which the programme’s participants had a chance to share their success stories while highlighting the programme’s role in building their capacities and enhancing their skills. Participants also got the chance showcase their products in the exhibition organized on the sidelines of the event. This phase of the programme has enhanced the livelihoods, social cohesion, and climate resilience in targeted areas in Cairo, Alexandria, and Aswan and strengthened the resilience of more than 750 vulnerable women and girls in Egypt who have been affected by conflict, crisis, and climate change, while addressing their urgent needs through sustainable livelihoods, protection, social cohesion, and climate action. This programme has been implemented by UN Women Egypt in partnership with the National Council for Women and UNHCR Egypt with the support of the Government of Japan, represented in the Embassy of Japan in Egypt.
