12 days into my 28 day solo trip through Wabakimi Provincial Park and the surrounding area, I wake up on White Clay Lake. From here I set out upriver on the Ogoki, to The biggest lake inside the park, Whitewater Lake. On Whitewater Lake there is a very cool island to visit if you are in the area. Inventor and master woodworker Wendel Beckwith built several cabins on Best Island where he lived from 1961 till his death in 1980. These cabins still remain and are incredible to see! After my time on Whitewater Lake I Head North West onto the Grayson River. I beautiful more intimate river especially when combined to the mighty Ogoki.
